I hope this analogy resonates with you.

Just like a car demands regular maintenance, so does the human body. You can't drive a car indefinitely without expecting it to eventually break down. Similarly, you can't lead a fast-paced and carefree lifestyle every day and anticipate your body to stay in a state of health and fitness.

I have a close friend who's an avid tennis player. She's an extraordinary player and holds a strong dedication to the sport. And we both grappled with muscle atrophy. Our bodies were slowly deteriorating due to our neglect of proper strength maintenance.

This could be seen as a "self-inflicted wound." We were both fully aware of what was happening, yet for some inexplicable reason, we found ourselves hesitant to confront the truth.

In my personal experience, I was resistant to getting into shape because the challenge seemed insurmountable. When every facet of your body requires attention, it's far from a simple task. It demands time, unwavering dedication, and the prioritization of self-care.

For many individuals, carving out time for oneself can indeed be a challenge, and at times, it might even lack appeal. Why is it often easier to care for others than to care for our own needs? Depending on how long you've neglected your body, embarking on the journey might feel overwhelming. It's akin to opening the door to a cluttered car. Where do you start? Personally, I would begin by clearing the seats.

When you take that resolute mental step to commit, your body will naturally follow suit. Keep in mind, the body can't attain what the mind doesn't believe. Your mental determination lays the foundation for your physical transformation.
